Who picks up the pieces?

More than 20,000 soldiers have been wounded since the attack of October 7, 2023. Thousands have been wounded seriously, may have lost limbs, eyesight, brain injuries and other faculties. For these soldiers, the effects of the war will remain long after the fighting stops. Unfortunately, there are limited resources to care for the wounded, post service.

THE ARM OF SAMSON is the only  institution that includes vocational training and career services to go alongside the physical rehab and occupational therapy.

The needs of the wounded do not end after the prosthetic limb has been assigned. In fact, the lives of survivors need total recalibration. Emotional support, personal assistance, vocational education, even every day needs like clothing and personal hygiene – nothing of the old lives can be relied upon and too often, the surviving soldiers are left to deal with it on their own.

The ARM OF SAMSON is there for them. Building a substantial facility, to house all the physical treatments and support services including a café/restaurant serviced entirely by the wounded soldiers themselves, AOS is a different kind of center.

Cancer remains the leading cause of death in Israel. There is a surprising therapeutic relationship between cancer patients and wounded soldiers – they are there for each other. The Arm of Samson will additionally offer best-in-class emotional treatment alongside all of the other support and to allow wounded soldiers to care for cancer patients .
